2 Chainz heading to South Africa

Cape Town - US rapper 2 Chainz is heading to South Africa, according to local music blog zkhiphani.co.za.

2 Chainz will be one of the headline acts for the Miller Boomtown experience, taking place at this year's Vodacom Durban July on 6 July. Other local DJs and artists have also been lined up to perform at the event, but an official line-up is yet to be released.

News broke early on Friday morning on Twitter, and 2 Chainz took time to retweet a tweet from Head Honcho SA:

Best known for featuring alongside mainstream artists, 2 Chainz (formerly known as Tity Boi; real name Tauheed Epps) has built himself a reputation in the last year to be inducted alongside other hip hop greats like Kanye West, Jay-Z and Lil Wayne and has gained fame by collaborating on tracks by Drake, Kanye, Nicki Minaj and Ciara.

Miller South Africa has released the official ticket prices for the event on their website. Limited tickets went on sale via Computicket on Friday morning.

A General Access ticket will cost you R550, while a VIP and VVIP ticket will cost you R1 600 and R2 500 respectively.
