Van Coke Kartel
After a brutal decade of rock ‘n roll, 5 full length albums, various drummer line-up changes, numerous prestigious awards, international tours to places like Taiwan and Europe, opening for monster international acts like Metallica, Van Coke Kartel has decided that it is time to call it quits. MCCREE
MCCREE was formed in 2008 by Mark McCree (Kelvin Declined & Empire Alight), easily one of the leading local vocalists, song writers and lyricists in SA; along with Lorne McGregor, Tristan Carmichael (The Wintyr) and Richard Brodrick, all seasoned and successful musicians in their own right. Their music has a solid rock base with catchy and uplifting melodies and hook-laden power guitar riffs. Catch them live at Café Roux in Cape Town on Friday at 20:30. Tickets cost R120. Midnight Oil
Legendary Australian rock band Midnight Oil is playing one show only in Johannesburg on Saturday 29 July at Emmarentia Park. It’s been 15 years since the band played live and it’s been over two decades since their last visit to South Africa. Gates open at 11:00 and tickets cost R495. Click here for more info.

Unknown Pleasure - Indie Night
Unknown Pleasures is an Indie Night at The Good Luck Bar in Johannesburg on Friday that will be showcasing some of the best indie in SA as well as playing all the old school indie hits you've known and loved. The Friday Night Feast
This festival on Friday night at the The Palms Décor and Lifestyle Centre in Woodstock is feast of food, drinks and music all in one. And while you enjoy and awesome local snack and drink, you will can listen to live acts Los Tacos, Cassiem Latief, JAYME, Leighton Moody, K-$ and Kongo. Tickets cost R160 online or R200 at the door.
