Laurie Levine album launch
SAMA-nominated singer songwriter Laurie Levine is best known for her fresh blend of Americana and folk music. The release of her new solo record, Canyons, brings with it a whole new sound and outlook. Join her as she launches her album at Café Roux in Noordhoek on Friday 1 December. Tickets cost R100. Mi Casa
Mi Casa's three members, Dr Duda (producer and club DJ), J-Something (vocalist and guitarist) and Mo-T (trumpeter) blend their musical talent to create a soulful sound. Warm house beats peppered with jazz trumpet and a fresh twist of soul, the Mi Casa sound recipe is rich and authentic. Catch them live at Kirstenbosch on Sunday in Cape Town. Craig Lucas
Catch the winner of the The Voice SA season 2, Craig Lucas, live at Café Roux in Noordhoek on Saturday. Craig’s debut album, titled Restless, was released at the end of October. Tracks included on the album comprises of brand new songs, two covers and a few reworks of tracks written a while ago by Craig himself. Tickets cost R100. Lucy Kruger & The Lost Boys
Lucy Kruger is a musician and songwriter. Since the release of her debut album Cut those Strings in 2013 she has toured extensively both locally and internationally, collaborating with a number of different artists on various projects. She is one half of dream noise duo, Medicine Boy. Her solo project focuses on the bare bones of the songs, drawing on her folk roots. Catch her live at Café Roux in Cape Town on Friday. Festive Lights Switch-On 2017
Join the City of Cape Town as they celebrate summer at the annual Festive Lights Switch-On, taking place on the Grand Parade on 3 December 2017 from 16:00. The performers set to take the stage include Paxton (Idols 2017 winner), Koos Kombuis, Vicky Sampson, Craig Lucas (winner of The Voice South Africa), Jimmy Nevis, Freshlyground, The Rockets and Friends (celebrating 50 years) and DJ Ready D.
