Cape Town - In life you get summer and winter people and here at Channel24, we're definitely summer people.

It's not only the coldness that gets us gloomy but having to wake up an extra 15 minutes to layer on some clothes; take in an extra dose of caffeine to warm up our body or the inevitable conclusion that no matter how hard you try, you'll probably end up sick… sniff sniff.

But no matter how hard we fight it, the seasons are changing… So as always we thought we could best describe our sorrow using music.

Here are the 5 songs that sum up how we feel about the fact that winter is on its way.

The rain is coming...

1. George Ezra - Did You Hear The Rain

"Did you hear the rain? Oh the rain? You can try and run and hide. Tearing at the chain, means I'm coming home again"

When you just don't wanna get out of bed...

2. Idina Menzel ft Bublé - Baby It's Cold Outside

"I really can't stay. Baby it's cold outside. I've got to go away. Baby it's cold outside"

When it's that cold you can't feel your hands, feet or any functioning body part...

3. O'marian - Ice Box

"I got this icebox where my heart used to be. I got this icebox where my heart used to be, I'm so cold, I'm so cold, I'm so cold, I'm so cold"

When you ask the heavens above why it has to be so cold...

4. Mariah Carey - You're So Cold

"Why you gotta be? Why you need to be so cold? So cold? So cold how can you be? So cold, so cruel to me. Ice cold. Don't even feel your kiss is like the fire. But deep down inside. You're so cold"

When you are so over the weather, you put a spell on it...

Adele - Set Fire To The Rain

"I set fire to the rain..."
