Die Antwoord goes barking mad with a wild new music video

2014-05-20 14:16
Cape Town – South African zef rapper duo Die Antwoord has released a brand spanking new music video and it is as hectic as you would expect.

The video for the song Pitbull Terrier sees Yo-Landi and Ninja transformed into a crazy dog and loving pussy.

We are pretty sure all pit bull terrier breeders out there will flip their lid over the “violent” portrayal of the furry animals.

The tune is based on the song Pit Bull from the film Black Cat White Cat and used with permission.

Here it goes: (Warning: NSFW)

That would be because you are not the target market. The more people like you make comments like this, the stronger they become as a group. Their world tour starts in a couple of days in Canada. Did you know that their ENTIRE world tour sold out in 11 minutes?

“A group experience takes place on a lower level of consciousness than the experience of an individual. This is due to the fact that, when many people gather together to share one common emotion, the total psyche emerging from the group is below the level of the individual psyche. If it is a very large group, the collective psyche will be more like the psyche of an animal, which is the reason why the ethical attitude of large organizations is always doubtful. The psychology of a large crowd inevitably sinks to the level of mob psychology. If, therefore, I have a so-called collective experience as a member of a group, it takes place on a lower level of consciousness than if I had the experience by myself alone.” ? C.G. Jung, The Archetypes and the Collective Unconscious

Google "Black cat, white cat (Crna macka, beli macor) - Pitbull" - they've taken the whole idea for this song from a film made in 1999 directly. Sad actually, the most original group from SA is actually just a replica.

      Jaco Wium - 2014-05-20 18:01

Saw that movie - absolutely fascinating. Won't let Die Antwoord's spinoff change my estimation of it in any way!

I would not call this plagiarism but rather homage to Emir Kusturica. Waddy is an intelligent man behind the facade... This song is an amalgam of the song with the same name (and chorus, complete with the male-female accents) on the Unza Unza Time album (great album BTW!), and Black Cat White Cat. That just seems too deliberate.

Shades of Nine Inch Nails' 'Closer' as well.

Awesome ,better than the brain washed crap they Churn out on MTV. Whats the bets that the Church Groups are going to be jumping up and down with all those symbols on Yolande. Yea who cares about Blood and violence its symbols that will ruin your life...LOL

      Jon Ward - 2014-05-21 09:25

Actually, Yolande has the Star of David on her forehead - the same star you see on Israel's national flag. They probably meant to draw a pentagram, but were too high on tik to remember how to do it properly.

  • Tanya Paine - 2014-05-22 12:28

Pitbull owners will flip their lids not just breeders. I have never been bothered by Die Antwoord in the past but this bothers me a great deal! Its disgusting and will have a negative impact on those fighting for the breed. As a pitbull OWNER (not breeder) i find this video insulting to the breed I believe in and fight for every day.
