Fleetwood Mac announce reunion tour

Los Angeles - Fleetwood Mac are reuniting to tour in 2013.

The Chain group - featuring Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks - are planning to get back together and play shows for the first time since 2009, Stevie confirmed on Thursday.

When asked if the band would tour again, she told US news channel CBS: "Next year, so far. It's the plan. Because that's what we do.

"I do my [solo] thing. And Lindsey is out doing his [solo] thing now. Everybody's on board."

The move comes just months after drummer Mick said he never thought the band would tour again, due to the other members' solo careers.

Recent suicide

He said: "I don't believe Fleetwood Mac will ever tour again, but I really hope we do. We have rehearsed it and prepared for it since 2010.

"I played drums on most of Stevie's album, the one she is still out there supporting and the one that is the reason that, for now, she refuses to do a Fleetwood Mac tour. It comes down to her."

Stevie also spoke about the recent suicide of the band's guitarist Bob Welch, telling of her shock and upset.

She added: "I couldn't even imagine that anything could be so bad as to cause that.

"And I just feel very, very bad that somebody could have been that miserable to do something that crazy. So I can't even tell you what in the world would have pushed him to do something that crazy."
