Cape Town – SAMA award-wining musician Khuli Chana says he’s taking it one day at a time after accidentally being shot by police last year.

Chana, who recently filed a lawsuit against the South African Police Service (SAPS) for R2.7m, told Channel24 that his recovery process has been going well and that his "family’s been really awesome".

Chana, who is the supporting act for US rapper Kendrick Lamar’s SA tour, also says he hopes the rapper takes him back with him to the states so he can live in his cottage.

Kendrick Lamar’s tour with Khuli Chana as the supporting act will be kicking off at The Wave House in Durban this Friday, 7 February.

The tour then moves to Johannesburg Stadium on 8 February and the Belville Velodrome in Cape Town on Sunday, 9 February.

Tickets are available from Computicket and range from R350 to R650.
