The "Hyundai Awards" was the expected lame circle jerk of the same old incest "wifeswop" bands. I watched it to see what I'm missing in the local music scene. The answer. F-all. From the retarded hosts asking everybody what they were wearing and who dressed them (and not getting the wanted responses hehe) to the sponsor being all over the place, even on the stage and in your face twice every add break, which cheapened the whole thing to a whole new level. I mean seriously!? Who's idea was the f-ing car on the stage?! Highs - Inge Beckmann's super fast "thanks", Black Cat Bones winning their "Hallo Ma!" award plus playing live. C'mon people. Our SA talent pool cant be this small...

I must say I cannot agree with you more. If I look at the winners I can just shake my head and ask if this is really the best SA has to offer in terms of music and talent pool as a whole. The whole Mk awards come across as really cheap in its offering as a whole. Please Mk….this was really lame please up the quality!!!
