Miguel victim may have brain damage

Las Vegas - The young woman whose head collided with Miguel as jumped onto her head during his live performance at the Billboard Awards may sue the singer for possible brain damage she suffered.

Khyati Shah's head was smashed into the stage as Miguel, performing his hit song Adorn, jumped over the audience section she was standing in.

Miguel continued to perform and appeared in a backstage interview with Shah where he expressed his concern for her. He also later tweeted that he "got caught up in the moment" and said Shah was "okay".

Icepack

No Shah's lawyer Vip Bhola tells TMZ that his client isn't doing well. "Some of the difficulties she's experiencing are cognitive in nature and lead to suspicion of a neurological head injury."

Bhola also claims that Billboard Music Awards organisers should have done more for Shah after the incident, only offering her an icepack – designed to soothe a bruised elbow – when they should have rushed her to hospital.

He added that Shah is waiting for the results of a neurology test before deciding whether to pursue a lawsuit.

New reports also state that Miguel, 27, approached Billboard producers during rehearsals on 19 May for permission to jump over the audience, but he was ordered not to jump and told the act was "too dangerous" - but he ignored the order.
