London - Muse think The Rolling Stones are charging fans too much to see their 50th anniversary shows.
Bassist Christopher Wolstenholme is surprised the iconic group - fronted by Sir Mick Jagger - are charging fans up to £375 a ticket for their '50 & Counting...' shows at The 02 Arena in November, with the cheapest seats costing £95.
Chris insists Muse will never make fans pay as much to see them in concert and instead they try and keep prices down so they can share their music with as many people as possible on the road.
When asked what he thought about the cost of The Rolling Stones' shows at the Q Awards in London on Monday, he said: "What I know is from the start to now we've always tried to keep prices as low as we can so people can come and watch us.
"What's reasonable for one person isn't reasonable to another. It's important to make some money, but at the same time the most important thing is to go out and play live."
Chris admits he and his bandmates - frontman Matt Bellamy and drummer Dominic Howard - could bank a lot more cash if they scaled down their elaborate stage shows, but they would feel as though they were cheating their audience.
The 33-year-old musician added: "We could earn more if we wanted to by cutting production costs, but it's not about that."
Muse were named Best Act In The World Today at the prestigious ceremony and they intend to enhance their reputation on their current 2nd Law Tour which features a floating triangular lighting rig that engulfs the stage.
