Cape Town - Annual rock music festival RAMfest is set for the international acts that have been billed to perform at this year's event.
This comes after the previous two legs of RAMfest took place without any international acts appearing on stage last week in Bloemfontein and Port Elizabeth respectively.
Durban gets to witness the first of three performances by drum ‘n bass master DJ Netsky, from Belgium, who is set to perform at Origin Night Club on Friday.
According to the organisers the DJ is highly decorated: "It is no coincidence that he was nominated for the Radio One Essential Mix of the Year last year."
'Best Upcoming Producer'
"He has secured releases on some of the biggest labels in the scene and earned a nomination as Best Upcoming Producer at the Drum + Bass Arena Awards in 2008," they said.
Following the Durban performance the DJ will move on to Johannesburg where he will be joined by the rest of the visiting musicians on Saturday.
The Johannesburg leg takes place at the Riversands Farm for the second year running and features Swedish band In Flames, AWOLNATION from the US, Infected Mushroom from Israel as well as DJ Netsky.
On March 11 Cape Town will get its chance to experience the last leg of the festival at the Ostrich Ranch.
Ticket prices differ for the various cities and more information is available at www.RAMfest.co.za
