Rihanna can't beat Bieber's SA ticket sales

2013-04-12 14:38
Cape Town - Justin Bieber still holds on to his coveted record as the US artist whose tickets sold out the fastest in South Africa, despite Rihanna managing to sell out her golden circle tickets in a rather quick succession, reports The Star.

Having sold out most of her Golden Circle tickets for both Cape Town and Johannesburg in half an hour, Big Concerts still has selected GC tickets available for the award-winning artist's Diamonds World Tour to South Africa.

When it comes to crunching the numbers, ticket sales for Rihanna's shows fails to rise to the same shattering statistics that Bieber's delivered.

Limited tickets available

Back in December, when ticket sales opened for Justin's concerts, more than 62 000 tickets were all sold out within three hours of going on sale.

However, 18 minutes after sales for Rihanna's show opened for Johannesburg, Computicket announced that all Golden Circle tickets had been sold out.

For the Cape Town show, all Golden Circle tickets had been sold out within an hour.

Big Concerts has announced on their Facebook that selected tickets for the Golden Circle are still available via their website.

Limited seating tickets for both Johannesburg and Cape Town are still available via Computicket.

Cape Town

Tickets from R275-R820

well in 2006, less than 10 000 durbanites pitched up to see jAY Z AND rihanna live in kingspark (outer fields); how times have changed.

I spend my money at the Cape Town International Jazz Fest, where quality, mature and scandal free artist performs. Not these noisemakers.Norman Brown with his lead acoustic guitar makes music, not rubbish.

that's a silly comparison to make. In the case of Justin Bieber, one of the reasons he sold out so quickly was because for each 3 ticket sold, I'm sure one of those was an adult that had to accompany the minor. More than 1/2 of justin biebers twitter follower are found to be fake spam accounts. http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/1557287/justin-biebers-37-million-twitter-followers-53-percent-fake-site-claims
