Tanit bares all in Taxi Violence video

Cape Town – South African model-actress Tanit Phoenix portrays an "unholy" stripper in a new video for Cape Town band Taxi Violence.

The music video is for the song Unholy, taken from Taxi Violence's Unplugged: Long Way From Home album.

The video shows alternating shots of the band playing in a smoky dark room and Phoenix dancing and writhing around in lacy black underwear, and strips off her bra.

Later in the video, Tanit is joined by another underwear-clad woman, with whom she cavorts and the two women get into a passionate embrace.

According to Taxi Violence lead singer George van der Spuy, Tanit "suggested a friend join her for a performance that was already quite risqué by nature".

"The song is really just about people getting up to no good," he added, "and doing things that are regarded as wicked or 'naughty' but instead of feeling guilty about it, they embrace it.

"Her performance, our music and the director's great understanding of the music, in our opinion, was captured perfectly in true rock 'n roll bliss and embodies everything the song stands for and is about!" added Van der Spuy.

The music video was shot and directed by Jason Fialkov from Egg Films.

Phoenix recently made headlines when it was reported that she's dating District 9 star Sharlto Copley, who left his girlfriend of 13 years to be with her.
