Los Angeles – After sorting through hundreds of hours of unheard Kurt Cobain audiotapes for the much-anticipated documentary Cobain: Montage of Heck, director Brett Morgen found more than a few gems.

One of his most recent discoveries included a recording of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain singing the Beatles track, And I Love Her.

According to Rolling Stone, the song will be included in the film’s score, however a full version has leaked online.

Morgen told Rolling Stone that he was quite surprised finding Cobain singing this track written by Paul McCartney as Cobain once revealed in an interview that he likes the Beatles, but that he hates Paul McCartney.

Directed by Oscar nominated Brett Morgan and co-produced by the Nirvana frontman’s widowed wife, Courtney Love and their daughter Frances Cobain, this is said to be the most intimate rock documentary in history.

The documentary film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and will be aired on HBO on 4 May following it's theatrical release. publishes all comments posted on articles provided that they adhere to our Comments Policy.
