Tori Amos is coming to SA as part of world tour

Cape Town - Following her highly successful SA tour in 2011, Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Tori Amos is returning to South Africa this year.

She will be performing four shows as part of her world tour in support of her latest album, Unrepentant Geraldines.

Tori Amos begins her SA Tour at the Teatro at Montecasino on Thursday, 26 June and Friday, 27 June followed by two concerts at the Cape Town International Convention Centre on Sunday, 29 June and Monday, 30 June.

Performing in bars and clubs since the age of 13, Tori Amos has since evolved into one of the most respected and inspiring live performers.  She believes that some songs sound better performed live and has toured relentlessly since 1991, making the stage one of the fundamentals of her exceptional career. Rolling Stone magazine voted her one of the best live performers of all time.

The release of Unrepentant Geraldines, her 14th studio album, is supported by an extensive world tour starting on 7 May in Dublin and including shows at London's Royal Albert Hall and concert dates in Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, Moscow, Warsaw, Johannesburg and Cape Town.

Unrepentant Geraldines is a return to her core identity as a creator of contemporary songs of exquisite beauty following a series of more classically inspired and innovative musical projects of the last four years.

Tori Amos has sold over 12 million albums, has played over a thousand shows and has won numerous awards. Since the release of her debut album Little Earthquakes 20 years ago in 1992 where she pushed boundaries with her confessional style of songwriting, Amos continues to be adored, picking up new fans along the way.
