Cape Town – As the decade draws to a close music publication, Billboard has looked at who topped the charts in every year of the decade.

This list is compiled of the top albums of each year between 2009 and 2019.

Some of the top artists like Adele and Taylor Swift, you might expect, but some others might surprise you! The ranking of each album is based on sales, both retail and digital, in the United States.
