Ariana Grande is doing the absolute most in her new music video

Cape Town – Ariana Grande and her opening act on tour, Social House have released their new single Boyfriend.

The single comes paired with a wild music video including bows, arrows and fights. The new single was released on Friday, and the lyrics capture that stage between casually dating someone and deciding to make it exclusive. 

Some of the lyrics are: "But you don't want me to see nobody else/and I don't want you to see nobody…"

Ariana explained the concept of the song on her Twitter ahead of its release, saying: "We wanted to make something uplifting that captures that feeling of being afraid to take the leap & trust, being afraid of being hurt or feeling like you won't be enough for that person...but also how it feels to have a crippling crush on someone."

Ariana contrasted the song to her other recent boyfriend-related, Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored, by describing it as sweeter. "I don’t think one is better than the other at all they’re just very different!" she wrote on Twitter.

"One is darker one is bouncier and sweeter. That’s where I’m at rnnnnn [right now]."
