Cape Town – Nearly forty years after he began one of music’s most remarkable careers, Johnny Clegg is currently on his final World Tour, titled The Final Journey.

After an overwhelming response to his tour, he decided to add one more Johannesburg show to compensate for disappointed fans that were not able to get their hands on tickets before they sold out.

The extra show will be taking place in Johannesburg at The Ticketpro Dome on Saturday 11 November. This show will be all kinds of special as he will be sharing the stage with a number of top local artists such as Prime Circle, The Parlotones, Soweto Gospel Choir, DJ Kent and more.

Ahead of this special show, we asked Arno Carstens about Johnny’s impact on him.

Check it out below:

What’s your favourite Johnny Song?
Johnny has been blessed with so many hits that he has shared with us that it’s almost impossible. However, the latest song he did with his son Jesse (I’ve Been Looking) has touched me for so many reasons.

What has been his influence on you musically?
He has influenced me towards sharing and embracing my heritage and individuality with my audience.

If you could say one thing to Johnny what would it be?
Thank you for sharing the songs that became part of the fabric of our memories.

WIN: Enter our Johnny Clegg competition here! (A hamper consisting of concert tickets, a CD, a T-shirt and more are up for grabs as well as the chance to win a signed guitar!)
