Boity’s single 'Wuz Dat' goes platinum

Cape Town - Media personality Boity Thulo released her first single in August 2018 – and less than three months later, her hit single has gone platinum.

This makes the 29-year-old the first female rapper to go platinum in SA history.

The Wuz Dat hitmaker shared the exciting news on social media with a snap of her plaque.

Wuz Dat, my first ever single, went PLATINUM!! Making me the first ever female rapper in SA to go platinum.

The rapper received congratulatory messages from her followers including fellow celebrities, actress Linda Mtoba, Toke Makinwa and Khaya Dlanga.

"Omg congratulations," commented Linda Mtoba.

"Woooooow! Congratulations! Just remembered that day at Gemelli when you got us to hear it in your car. Never forget it. Huuuuge achievement! Proud of you," added Khaya Dlanga.

"Go awf B, go all the way off so proud of all my super women killing it right now, congrats queen," wrote Toke Makinwa.

Boity’s ex Cassper Nyovest also celebrated going platinum recently with two songs from his latest album, Move for me and Remote control.
