Cape Town - Charges against the man accused of harassing ASAP Rocky before the street brawl that led to the rapper's recent arrest in Sweden have been dropped.
The unnamed person, who Rocky reportedly asked to leave him alone before the fight, was being held on suspicion of "abuse, assault and attempted assault".
Charges have now been dropped following an investigation into the incident.
A spokesman for the Swedish Prosecution Authority said in a press release: "The preliminary investigation in that matter is now discontinued, and the injured party is no longer suspected of any crime."
On Saturday, US president Donald Trump phoned Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven to advocate for ASAP's release from a Swedish jail.
He then tweeted, "Just had a very good call with @SwedishPM Stefan Löfven who assured me that American citizen ASAP Rocky will be treated fairly…[I] offered to personally vouch for his bail."
