David Bowie demo found in bread basket going on auction for at least £10 000

Cape Town – A David Bowie demo that was found in a bread basket is going on auction for at least £10 000 (minimum bid).

According to The Guardian the tape was discovered by David Hadfield who was the drummer and manager of Bowie’s first band, The Konrads. The band recorded the song and sent it to a record label that then rejected it.

Hadfield was moving home, when he found various items from the time the band was together including the valuable recording.

The tape will go up for auction in September at auction house, Omega.

The same auction house sold unpublished photographs of John Lennon for £54,000.
