Cape Town – Die Heuwels Fantasties have announced that they will be touring Australia and New Zealand in June.
The band will play shows in Auckland, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth, starting from 3 June. "I’m looking forward to having some fun with our fans. They definitely don’t see live Afrikaans music often enough," says Pierre Greeff, vocalist for Die Heuwels Fantasties.

Unfortunately this means that Die Heuwels Fantasties won’t be able to attend the 2016 Sama Awards in Durban on 4 June. They are nominated in the category for Best Alternative Album.
"It’s always amazing to get the nod from your colleagues in the industry. Just to be nominated is wonderful. We won the 'Alternatiewe Afrikaanse Album' award in 2010, but it will be great to walk away with the overall Best Alternative this year," says Pierre about their Sama nomination.
