Cape Town - Dolly Parton has shared that she is doing her best to "think ahead" by creating music to be released after her death.

The I Will Always Love You singer and songwriter revealed her plans in the final episode of WNYC's hit podcast Dolly Parton's America.

WNYC is the trademark shared by a pair of non-profit, non-commercial, public radio stations located in New York City.

When the podcast's co-producer Jad Abumrad asks Dolly questions about faith, the afterlife, and planning for death, she confesses: "I've got hundreds, hundreds, even thousands of songs — a big part of them have never even been recorded,"

She adds at around 21 minutes 45 seconds into the episode: "There's enough stuff to go on forever with my music, to do compilation albums, to do new and original stuff. I am purposely trying to put songs down for that very purpose, to have a click track and my vocals where any arrangement could be done."
