Dolly Parton: 'Me Too means now is perfect time for 9 to 5 show'

Cape Town - Dolly Parton thinks the rise of Me Too movement made it the perfect time for 9 To 5 The Musical to transfer to the UK.

The Grammy award-winning icon, 73, was joined by pop star Kylie Minogue at the show's Savoy Hotel gala performance.

At the event, the 70-year-old said: “I think it is as relevant now as it was before. In a way, with the new Me Too movement, I think this is a really good time for it, and that’s what really inspired them to actually come here to the West End to do it. "

The movie on which the musical is based was released in 1980 and starred Dolly along with Lily Timlin and Jane Fonda.
