Cape Town - US singer Trey Songz recently found himself on the wrong side of the law after allegedly hitting a woman, but it seems that the singer has been let off the hook.

According to TMZ, the singer will not be facing criminal charges after the Los Angeles District Attorney rejected the charges against him.

Speaking to the publication, LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department) sources say that the singer’s lawyer was able to present multiple witness statements that directly contradicted alleged victim Andrea Buera’s story of being beaten so badly by Trey in front of other partygoers that she vomited as reported by Bossip.

Although charges against the Na Na hitmaker have been dropped, he may not be completely off the hook as the case will now be referred to the L.A City Attorney who will then decide whether or not to charge Songs for domestic violence.

Channel24 recently reported that the singer had handed himself in at the Hollywood police station after being accused of felony domestic violence but was adamant that he was falsely accused.
