Cape Town - Global superstar Justin Bieber, has announced that his fifth studio album titled Changes, will arrive on 14 February.
To promote the new record – which is his first in five years – Justin will embark on the tour with the same title as the album.
We've rounded up everything we know about the album and the tour which will start in May 2020 with a date at Seattle's CenturyLink Field.
WHY DID JUSTIN TAKE SUCH A LONG BREAK BETWEEN ALBUMS AND TOURS?
Justin's meteoric rise to fame - which started with the 2009 release of the hit song, Baby – has been widely documented. The then 15-year-old topped charts and sold out stadiums all around the world.
Throughout his career, the 25-year-old has amassed over 50 billion streams and over 60 million album-equivalent sales worldwide. His 2015 album Purpose has sold over 21 million copies worldwide. The Purpose Tour sold out 64 US and 52 international tour dates.
Cut to 2017, and the star cancelled the remainder of his multi-million-dollar grossing tour, which featured a series of South African shows.
Rumours about his reasons for doing so swirled with many people expressing concern about his well-being. Now, in the build-up to the new album, Justin has been speaking more about that time in his life and how dark things got.
It turns out that he was diagnosed with Lyme Disease and struggled with mental health issues relating to the pressures of fame.
To give the public insight into what he has been through and what went into his new album, Justin is releasing a series of ten short documentary films on YouTube. The series is titled Seasons.
In the first episode – which was released on Tuesday – Justin and his wife, model Hailey Bieber, go back to the singer's hometown of Stratford, Ontario, Canada and the singer speaks about going back to where it all started for him after leaving the spotlight for so long.

WHAT DOES THE ALBUM SOUND LIKE?
If the first single, Yummy, is anything to go by Changes will be an R&B focused record with a hint of futuristic pop. When speaking about the meaning of that song with talk show host, Ellen DeGeneres, Justin said point-blank that the topic of the song is: "My sex life."
He added: "Yeah, it is what it is, right? I'm married, you know, so?"
When speaking about his new wife, he said: "I'm glad it worked out because she's an amazing, amazing, amazing person."
He gushed: "She's super precious. I enjoy spending my life with her."
So, suffice to say we're expecting a loved-up album of slow jams that will probably get stuck in our head for days.

Changes is now available for pre-order/pre-save with the new track Get Me featuring Kehlani and will be released on 14 February.
WHAT ABOUT THE TOUR:
The Changes Tour with special guest Kehlani and lifelong friend and collaborator Jaden Smith kicks off in Seattle at the CenturyLink Field on Thursday, 14 May.
