Fokofpolisiekar reach their target to fund new album

Cape Town – Thanks to their loyal fans, Fokofpolisiekar have reached their R500k crowdfunding target to fund their new album.

On 22 March, the band launched a 60 day crowd funding campaign via Thandafund to raise money for a new album which they plan to release in October 2017.

The local rockers wanted to produce and release the album independently but needed help raising funds to cover costs.

Their crowdfunding campaign broke records instantly after its launch and the target has been smashed after only 9 days!

The boys from Fokof announced the happy news on their Facebook page, writing: "500k! Thanks a fuckload for all the insane support. Only 9 days into our #FokofCrowdFunding campaing and we’ve already reached our target. You guys are the best! Cheers to new music…we’re going to start writing right away. Don’t stop donating; there are still plenty of albums to buy!"
