Goodluck promise some brand new material for Woodstock Live concert

Cape Town – This weekend Woodstock Live – a new series of diverse, multi-faceted events – will kick off with a music concert at Trafalgar Park in Woodstock.

The line-up will feature the soulful blues crooner Manny Walters, new afro-indie kids on the block Ben Dey & the Concrete Lions, Congolese afro-folk-pop troubadour Tresor, the latino-fusion mayhem of Los Tacos, big beats by live-electronic darlings Goodluck, electro-boogie favourites Mix n Blend, the mythical and revolutionary DJ InviZAble joined on stage by his comrade Computer General and the pioneering force that is Das Kapital.

Ahead of this awesome event, we asked Jules from Goodluck a few questions.

Check it our here:

Channel24: You’re playing at Woodstock Live on 20 March, what can people expect from your set?
Jules: If you love electronic music and you love live music then you should love our set. We love to get the audience involved in the show - music is an inclusive thing and our shows really rely on people being a part of it! We will be playing some of the hits and older favourites along with some brand new material straight from the studio!

C24: What is the most absurd or funniest thing that has ever happened at one of your gigs?
Jules: We once performed a gig on the highest glacier in the world in Switzerland where it was -34degrees!! A storm rolled in and we had to be evacuated from the stage by helicopter... that was pretty wild and ridiculous!

C24: What’s the one thing that no knows about you?
Jules: We grow our own veggies and eat as much as we can from our own studio garden :)

C24: If you could collaborate with any artist in the world, who would it be and why?
Jules: Imogen Heap because she makes the most forward thinking electronic music in the whole world!

C24: Beef or Chicken?
Jules: Beef (organic, free range)

C24: Perfect holiday destination?
Jules: Maldives on an island with very few other people on it!

C24: Your best pick up line ever?
Jules: Are you a banana? Because I find you a-peeling (hahahaha... so lame!)

C24: Exciting things currently happening for you?
Jules: We are busy working on a new album and we are also about to release a brand new single within the next 2 weeks. Also planning tours to Europe for the summer!

C24: What's next for you?
Jules: WOODSTOCK LIVE... then infinity and beyond!
