Halsey pays fan's speeding fine

Cape Town - Halsey paid a fan's speeding ticket because she was "bangin' out" to the singer's music and hadn't noticed how fast she was going.

The 24-year-old's latest single Nightmareis a heavy rock/pop track, and one fan was so into the intensity of the song that they didn't notice that they were breaking the law while driving and consequently got a fine.

The fan then tweeted about the traffic fine and Halsey stepped up to help the music lover by offering to send her the money to help pay for the ticket.

The fan's tweet read: "Driving home from Penn State I got pulled over/given a ticket for the first time ever, and when asked why I was going 99 in a 70 I was ~dangerously ~ close to admitting I was bangin out to @halsey's new song Nightmare,".

Halsey took it upon herself to reply to the tweet, offering to pay for the ticket. "What's your Venmo. I'll pay your ticket. DRIVE SAFELY PLEASE!!!!" she wrote.

The user, known simply as Francesca, has since locked her account.
