Halsey references Cry Me A River in breakup song about rocky love affair with G-Eazy

Halsey directly referenced Justin Timblerlake Cry Me A River in her own emotional breakup song detailing her recently reconciled romance with G-Eazy. The song is called Without Me. The pair broke up a few months ago and then reunited again more recently.

The standalone song is her first new solo music since her 2017 album, Hopeless Fountain Kingdom

Speaking to Zane Lowe on Beats 1 Halsey said, "Here I have this record where it's just me." Adding, "No wig, no colourful hair, no character, and it's about my life and about my relationship that the world has watched so closely and so vehemently like in the past year and a half."
