Cape Town - Tove Lo has revealed it was Kylie Minogue herself who instigated their duet Really Don't Like U.

The Swedish pop star met the 51-year-old Australian music legend in 2018 and revealed in an interview with The Sun newspaper: "I met her once in 2018 and she was like, 'Actually, I would love to work with you.' I made a note of, 'OK, next record.' It was also about having a song where I felt I could reach out, and it would be her vibe. That song needs to have a sexy, sweet voice on it."

The song is about how difficult it is to have a good time when an ex shows up with another girl at a party. And also, how hard it is not to immediately dislike that girl for no other reason than she's with the person you once had feelings for.

The lyrics are: "I know I've got no right to/ Really, I just don't like you."
