Cape Town – As folk-rock duo Hot Water gears up for two shows at Café Roux in Noordhoek this week, we checked in with frontman Donovan Copley to ask him a few questions.

Channel24: You’re playing Café Roux on Wednesday and Thursday this week, what can people expect from your set?
Donovan Copley: To leave feeling alive

C24: What is the most absurd or funniest thing that has ever happened at one of your gigs?
DC: WOMAD Spain …I rip my pants all the way down the back during the show…Chiang Mai International Arts Fest (Thailand) - I rip my pants all the way down the front…(luckily there was a South African flag handy and I used it as a “national sarong”). #dancemoves #donttrythisathome #repeatproblem

C24: What’s the one thing that no knows about you?
DC: I have about 25 different characters (voices) that I use at home to entertain and engage with my kids.

C24: If you could collaborate with any artist in the world, who would it be?
DC: The Wailers

DC: Port Alfred, Eastern Cape

DC: A performance at Afrika Festival in Germany next month, working on a host of music videos and having another kid!
