Cape Town - Bobby Brown is still battling to come to terms with Whitney Houston’s death.

This year marks the sixth anniversary of the singing legend’s death, and in an interview with Rolling Stone, the late icon’s former husband opened up about the tragedy.

Whitney drowned in a hotel bathtub in 2012, aged 48.

But Bobby doesn’t believe that drugs played a major factor in Whitney’s death.

“I don't think she died from drugs,” Bobby (49) said.

“She was really working hard on herself to try to be a sober person and, um, she was a great woman.

When Bobby was asked what he thought attributed to her death, he revealed that other things ‘played a part’ for instance, ‘just being broken-hearted’.

The R&B singer also revealed that he carries great resentment for Nick Gordon, who has denied any wrongdoing in his 22-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina’s death.

“He's still walking around free," says Bobby.

In an interview with Daily Mail, Nick revealed that in the months after Bobbi Kristina’s death he had barely got by and has tried to get away from the anxiety and allegations.

“You know if I sat and worried about what this person thinks, or they're suspicious about this I would drive myself crazy.”
