Jacques Terre’Blanche releases Afrikaans song in memory of his dad

Cape Town – South African singer, Jacques Terre’Blanche, is trying his hand at Afrikaans music for the first time.

Jacques is perhaps best known as a finalist on the second season of the M-Net reality television competition Idols, in 2003.

Now the 33-year-old is stepping into the Afrikaans market for the first time.

After the death of his father, Ettienne, last year Jacques decided to record his dad’s favourite song, Droomvrou.

“This song is the very first song my father introduced me to as a little boy. Being the hopeless romantic he was, I always knew he shared the sentiment of the deeper meaning of the lyric,” Jacques said.
