Cape Town - Ever sat next to someone on a plane and wondered if they might be ‘The One’?

Well, when Jay Z sat down next to a beautiful young singer on a flight back to New York from Mexico in 2000, it’s possible the thought crossed his mind…

In a track on his new album with Beyoncé (36), Everything Is Love, the music mogul (48) revealed what happened the first time he laid eyes on his future wife.

It was during Bey’s Destiny’s Child days – she was just 18 at the time! She and Jay had just performed at MTV’s Spring Break festival in Cancun, Mexico, reports Hollywood Life.

In their new track, 713, Jay speaks lovingly of their first encounter – even though he wouldn’t see Bey again until 2002.

While the new song has yet to be released to the public, Jay gave producers Cool and Dre a sneak peak of the track and, in an interview with Rolling Stone, Dre revealed how blown away he was by what he heard.

“I remember the night he pulled us into his studio and played it for us, he was like, ‘No one knows the story of how we met. This was the first time I’m ever telling this story’.’”

“Boom, he plays it for us. After we listened to the first verse and the hook and the beat played a couple times, he looks at us and he goes, ‘I never knew a love-ove-ove like this – oh s***t , I gotta cut this!”

“Just seeing how that came together, we literally were in the room when he started that second verse,” Cool added.

The new album is said to be a lot lighter than Lemonade or 4:44, in which Bey and Jay reveal intimate details of their marriage, reveals The Atlantic – which seems to suggest that the chaos and confusion of their previous albums has all been worked out.
