Jennifer Lopez and Shakira to headline Super Bowl in Miami

Cape Town - Jennifer Lopez and Shakira are going to headline the Super Bowl in Miami on 2 February.

It was rumoured earlier this month that the Hustlers actress would perform at American football’s biggest night, but the talented mogul played coy when she was quizzed by reporters.

J.Lo told the hosts of Good Morning America - promoting the film about a group of women – about the Super Bowl: "It’s something that we’ve talked about for many years, and, you know, it would be nice. It would be nice. I can’t say I wouldn’t love it…".

The pair of famous singers confirmed the news on Thursday on their social media platforms.

Shakira, 42, shared a photo of her and Jennifer, 50, with the caption: "It doesn’t get any bigger than this! So excited about getting on that #SuperBowlLIV #PepsiHalftime stage!"
