Cape Town – As pop chart topper Jimmy Nevis gears up for two shows at Café Roux in Noordhoek this week, we checked in with him to ask him a few questions.

Check it out here:

Channel24: You’re playing Café Roux on Wednesday and Thursday this week, what can people expect from your set?
Jimmy Nevis: A good authentic experience. Something relaxed and soulful. I'll be performing all my hits and a few of my favourite covers.

C24: What is the most absurd or funniest thing that has ever happened at one of your gigs?
JN: A dance battle between grown men. It was tragically funny.

C24: What’s the one thing that no knows about you?
JN: I watched the Lion King for the first time 2 years ago.

C24: If you could collaborate with any artist in the world, who would it be and why?
JN: Kurt Elling. I love his creativity and style in music. He has a unique way of communicating emotion.

C24: Chicken or Beef?

C24: Perfect holiday destination?
JN: Bora Bora

C24: Your best pick up line ever?
JN: Hi, I'm Jimmy Nevis.

C24: Exciting things currently happening for you?
JN: Aside from Cafe Roux, I've been prepping new shows and I've also been in studio working on new music. I just finished a track called, All About It, with Sketchy Bongo.

C24: What`s next for you?
JN: I'm currently prepping new music with some great collaborations. I'm also working hard with my organisation - Blue Collar Foundation. There's also something in the pipeline regarding fashion.
