Justin Bieber joins the golden list of Grammy performers

Los Angeles - Justin Bieber will perform at this year's Grammy Awards.

The Love Yourself hitmaker - whose collaboration with Skrillex and Diplo, Where Are Ü Now, is nominated for Best Dance Recording - is set to take to the stage next month at the annual music award ceremony.

Announcing the news on the Grammy's official Instagram account, the caption read: "Calling all #Beliebers! @justinbieber has been added to the lineup for the 58th #GRAMMYs airing Feb. 15 on @cbstv! (sic)"

The excitement only increased for music fans as Pitbull was also announced as a performer at the ceremony, which takes place on 15 February at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.

Another post on the social media account read: "@pitbull is bringing the party to the 58th #GRAMMYs stage LIVE Feb. 15 on @cbstv! (sic)"

The two stars will be joined by previously announced performers, songstress Adele, Kendrick Lamar, Little Big Town and The Weeknd.

In a statement at the time of the first announcement, Recording Academy CEO Neil Portnow said: "This line-up of talented artists is just the beginning of what will, once again, prove to be music's biggest night.

"We look forward to celebrating what's been a wonderful year in music, honouring the best of the best and featuring never-before-seen performances."
