Lemmy Kilmister was given 2 months to live just 2 days before his death

Los Angeles - Lemmy Kilmister was given two to six months to live by a doctor over the weekend.

The Motörhead rocker passed away on Monday, just two days after discovering her was dying from an aggressive form of cancer in his "brain and neck" but his manager Todd Singerman revealed he took the diagnosis in his stride.

Todd told Rolling Stone: "We took him for the X-rays and they said, 'Oh, my God, there's stuff all over his brain and his neck.' On Saturday, the doctor came by the house, brought the results and told us all that he has two to six months to live.

"He took it better than all of us. His only comment was, 'Oh, only two months, huh?' The doctor goes, 'Yeah, Lem, it's bad, and there's nothing anyone can do. I would be lying to you if I told you there was a chance.'"

While Todd recommended keeping the news private, Lemmy, 70, insisted that he wanted to let his fans know what was going on but sadly he died before he had the chance.

Todd explained: "He was like, 'No, no. You go ahead and put out a press release. I want people to know it was cancer. It's a bad thing and they should know it.' That's how he felt."
