His wife Lerato Sengadi couldn’t contain her emotions about this honour to her late husband.

Taking to her Instagram page she wrote that she was proud and felt a mix of emotions.

She wrote that this award is an honour to his advocacy in keeping local African languages and sounds alive.

“It meant a lot to him because he believed dearly in the preservation of indigenous sounds & language,” Lerato captioned the post.

“I am insanely proud to announce that motho will be receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award from RiSA during this year’s SAMAs. Making him the first hip hop artist to receive one and the youngest solo recipient of this prestigious recognition!,” she posted along side a picture of HHP raising his hat to an audience.

She went on to explain her role as his support system in making sure that Jabba did his best during his musical career and promised more is yet to come.

“I feel BEYOND blessed to have played a role in making this happen for him. But honestly he did it! This is all him. I’m just a vessel, executing a calling. I am a bag of emotions but mostly I am beaming at my King’s accomplishments & bravery. Motho, this is only the beginning... I promise!” she wrote.

HHP passed away last year in October at the age of 38. He was discovered at his Joburg home. He was reported to have committed suicide. He had revealed in interviews that he was battling depression.
