Lira to open for Robin Thicke at Jozi concert

Cape Town - Event organisers on Tuesday confirmed the local line-up for the exclusive Robin Thicke Live concert taking place next month.
 
SA’s own platinum selling songstress Lira alongside Kaya FM’s DJ extraordinaire Kenzhero will share the stage with the multiple award winning R&B superstar Robin Thicke at the Birchwood Hotel on Sunday 2 July.

Mabala Noise announced this exclusive one-night only performance with Robin Thicke earlier this month, following the announcement of him headlining the Durban July Launch Concert alongside a huge list of SA artists.

East Rand’s own Lerato 'Lira' Molapo, recipient of 11 South African Music Awards has seven albums under her belt. As one of SA’s most celebrated exports, this Afro-Soul vocalist will add a perfect fusion of soul, funk, jazz and African elements to the evening’s sound.
 
Likewise, Kenzhero is by far no stranger to the SA music scene. This acclaimed homegrown DJ has been performing for nearly 20 years having entertained the Jozi party scene for many years with his Party People property. He recently joined Kaya FM on the ultimate mix show the Sound Supreme.
