LISTEN: Avicii's final album released posthumously

Cape Town - A year after Avicii’s death, brand new music is set to be released in celebration of this talented artist’s work and life. 

The artist died in Muscat, Oman at the age of 28 in April 2018.

A posthumous album release entitled: Tim will be made available on JOOX, which provides fans of Avicii with one final opportunity to enjoy the music that he was yet to release before his untimely death. Listen to the playlist here. 

The single SOS will be released on 10 April and the album on 6 June.

Tim Bergling, better known by his producer alias of Avicii, was one of the most celebrated electronic music artists of the late 2000’s. He began producing music at the tender age of 18, which led to support from electronic music heavyweights like Tiësto, Pete Tong and many more, contributing to his meteoric rise to stardom.

The Universal Music Group signed artist went on to be a perennial part of Top 40 countdowns and streaming music app playlists around the World with hits like I Could Be the One, which was a single colab with dance music DJ and producer Nicky Romero, Wake Me Up featuring the vocals of Aloe Blacc, Hey Brother, Addicted to You and A Sky Full of Stars, a collaboration with Coldplay.
