Cape Town - Beyoncé has released Spirit a song she made with South African producer and composer, Lebo M. and Hans Zimmer among others.

The single is featured on an album curated by the singer who also stars in The Lion King as Nala. The album is titled The Lion King: The Gift and it will be released on 19 July the same as the film which is a remaining of the Disney classic.

Along with The Gift, Walt Disney Records will release the original soundtrack for the new live-action remake of 1994 classic on 11 July, and according to Pitchfork, it features Can You Feel the Love Tonight with Beyoncé and Donald Glover.

About the new song, Beyoncé said a statement: "This is a new experience of storytelling. I wanted to do more than find a collection of songs that were inspired by the film. It is a mixture of genres and collaboration that isn't one sound. It is influenced by everything from R&B, pop, hip hop and Afro Beat."
