LISTEN: Going to OppiKoppi? This is the road trip playlist you need

Cape Town - One of South Africa’s biggest multi-day music festivals, OppiKoppi is taking place from Thursday, 9 until Saturday, 11 August 2018.

The popular local festival is taking place in Limpopo and as any festival veteran will tell you it’s essential to get yourself Oppi ready beforehand with an awesome playlist which will turn your Oppi drive into a scenic road trip.

That’s right, this year festival goers will be journeying through one of the country’s best road trip routes - the Valley Route.

While your survival pack should include a strong flashlight, sunscreen, a bandanna mouth/nose guard against the dust and a great pair of plastic wellies for when the dust turns to mud, the key ingredient to a great weekend is putting together an epic collection of songs to get you hyped to share in the fun.

With multi stages during the three-day festival, the best part of Oppi is the range of musical talent available, with something for everyone. From favourites to discovering new artists, the 2018 line-up includes Bongeziwe Mabandla, award winning rapper Kwesta, legendary rock band Wonderboom, electronic music sensation GoodLuck, alternate Afrikaans rock band, Fokofpolisiekar, skater kid turned electronic music producer Muzi and more including the 2018 tribute artist, iconic Zimbabwean human right activist and musician extraordinaire, Oliver Mtukudzi.
