Cape Town – What 2019 has taught us is the value of streaming algorithms and how the lines between genres are so blurry that some artists defy them. 

From South African stars like Sho Madjozi and Kabza De Small and Nasty C to international breakthroughs like Lizzo and Billie Eilish 2019 was the year of talented performers breaking new ground.

So, to look back at this year in music we've compiled a list of our favourite 19 songs in 2019.

Obviously, there are a lot more songs we could include, but we limited ourselves to this number and have listed them in no particular order for your listening pleasure all in one playlist.
