US rapper, Mac Miller, real name Malcolm James McCormick has passed away after an alleged drug overdose.
According to TMZ , the 26-year-old was found dead by law enforcement officers on Friday in his San Fernando Valley home in California.
The publication reported that authorities were alerted by a male friend who placed the call from the deceased rapper’s home, who then pronounced the rapper dead on the scene.
Reports by PEOPLE reveal that Mac Miller had been struggling with drug addiction throughout his life, which has also contributed to his break-up with two-year-long girlfriend and pop singer, Ariana Grande.
Condolences continue to pour in on social media as fans and the Hip-hop industry mourn the loss of the rapper.
