Madonna bans fans from using phones during shows with this interesting new technology

Cape Town - Madonna is set to ban mobile phones for her London residency after putting a similar rule in place for the start of her 'Madame X' tour.

According to Mirror, when fans enter the venue, phones are placed in lockable Yondr cases which can only be opened in designated areas. What is Yondr? It's a start-up that tries "to break digital addiction".

Comedian Dave Chappelle was one of the biggest proponents of the new technology. Fans were reportedly angered by the idea of "phone-free" shows during the Material Girl singer's Madame X Tour.

Now there are fears she will bring the strict device enforcement to her residency of 15 day at the London Palladium in February.
