Cape Town - In 2015, songstress Madonna left fans around the world stunned after she got candid about her secret relationship with late rapper Tupac.
And now that all has been brought to light, their breakup letter is finally going on auction.
After the 60-year-old songstress lost her legal appeal to stop the sale of the letter the late rapper sent her when they called it quits, experts have predicted that the note would sell for more than £200 000 (around R3,4 million), reports The Sun.
The relationship, which Madonna got candid about during an interview with radio personality Howard Stern, lasted for 18 months and was abruptly ended by Tupac, saying he felt it would be controversial if it became public knowledge.
The handwritten note, dated 15 January 1995, reveals the rapper was afraid his image would suffer if it came out he was dating a white woman, which was why he wanted to break things off.
The opening bid which will begin at a minimum cost of £80 000 (around R1,3 million), is being auctioned under memorabilia company Gotta Have Rock & Roll and will go for sale on 17 July.
All the proceeds accumulated will reportedly be donated to breastcancer.org.
