Magic, music, dance and so much more: Here's what we saw our first night at the National Arts Festvial 2019

Makhanda - The National Arts Festival is currently underway in Makhanda and Channel24 is there to give you a special glimpse at all the action.

The town, formerly known as Grahamstown, is bustling with creatives, journalists and children, enjoying the entertainment.

Channel24's Alex Isaacs explored the town, and enjoyed the Multichoice Sundown Concert, which is a free event during which acts performing at the festival give the audience a little taste of their show.

A lot is happening at the annual gathering in the heart of winter and to make things easier we've rounded up some acts you might not want to miss.

The National Arts Festival is taking place until Sunday, 7 July.

*Multichoice are sponsoring Channel24's trip to The National Arts Festival.
