It seems a comeback tour isn’t enough for the Spice Girls!

Apparently, the all-girl group, who’ll kick off their UK tour on 24 May, have been offered a residency in Las Vegas afterwards – and Mel B aka Scary Spice is desperate for her fellow Spice Girls to accept it.

“The girls haven’t committed to a full US tour, but their production team think a residency could be the perfect fit,” a source told The Sun.

“There’s massive money on the table depending on how their UK tour goes.”

Mel B is “totally behind the idea” and is pushing the girls to go for it, according to another source.

It’s no secret a Las Vegas residency usually means big bucks and Mel B was left almost bankrupt after her highly publicised and bitter divorce from movie producer Stephan Belafonte in 2017, Daily Mail reports.

The 43-year-old is also the only Spice Girl to live permanently in the US and so could commute easily between Sin City and her home in Los Angeles.

She’s also no stranger to The Colosseum in Caesars Palace, having staged her burlesque production, Peepshow, there in 2009.

The owners of the venue are reportedly waiting for Céline Dion to end her seven-year run, after which they’re planning a refurbishment. They want an iconic act to draw the crowds when they reopen – and reckon the Spice Girls are the perfect fit.

That’s if the other girls agree. Victoria Beckham in all likelihood won’t do it as she isn’t part of the reunion tour and is focusing on her fashion empire. But the other three – Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) and Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice) – may just.

“They all have commitments, but a residency means they could dip in and out when it suits them rather than having to put everything on hold for a tour of the US,” an insider explains.

Meanwhile the feud between Mel B and Geri appears to have simmered down. Mel dropped a bombshell last month after she revealed on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories that she and Geri had slept together during the height of their fame in the ’90s.

The bombshell revelation put their tour in jeopardy. But during an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show recently Emma assured everyone the tour was going ahead and things were all good between the girls.

“It's all fine. We’ve all chatted about it. Listen, we had fun back in the day. I didn’t know anything else but, you know, we’re all good.”

The Spice Girls reunion tour kicks off on 24 May in Dublin and finishes on 15 June at Wembley Stadium in London, Metro reports.
